Are you keen to see first hand the work of BFF?  YOU have the potential to positively change the life of others. Volunteer heart

Come and engage with these wonderful people!

Local projects

BFF welcomes volunteers, both local and international, to assist with local projects.

Hill tribe childrens' hostels

A limited number of volunteers have the opportunity to stay close to the childrens' hostel. Participants will stay in basic accommodation, sharing simple food and experience first-hand the resilience and optimism of the children, their hostel carers, and parents.

There are many roles: working directly with the children (5-17 years) – e.g. practising English, playing sport, teaching songs, reading books and sharing about your own country. You could also assist with building projects or work behind the scenes to support the hostel operations. No specific experience is required – simply an enthusiasm to improve the life of the children, and a positive, flexible attitude!

Those wishing to volunteer must be a financial BFWA member and have a ‘Working with Children’ check or Police Clearance. This is essential!

Visitors are asked to support BFF by paying a nominal amount of 1000THB (approx US$30) per day plus make a 6000THB ($200) contribution for transport expenses and bedding (mattress, pillow, blanket and mosquito net). Before you leave, do some fundraising and feel the joy of working with Pramote to decide how share your profits. Any money will contribute much needed funds to significantly improve the health status of the hill tribe children.
